New local glaswegian melodic indie band "Drive In Cinema" formed in early april of 2014. They started out as a 3 piece after Chris Mac (Lead Vox/Guitar) released a track called "Lipstick" for a solo project he was working on at the time. After meeting and rehearsing with Bryan Miller (Guitar/Keys) & John Mack (Bass) they decided that they would turn the project into a band and got in drummer Brent Stuart to play. They spent all of last year writing all their own original material, recently released two singles "Small Talk" & "Anyway", rehearsing in and around Glasgow & Kilmarnock and recording their debut EP "Small Talk" to release in May.
The bands main influences differ from indie, britpop & american pop punk to rock & groove they are inspired by bands like The Police, YES, Tom Petty, Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World. Lyrically, they focus on writing songs that talk about friendships, relationships, love, anxiety & every day situations that one goes through thus gaining a connection with the listener through their music and with meaningful lyrics over a catchy melody it makes their music easy to understand & listen to.
